Sixty nine years after the end of the Spanish Civil War and 33 after the death of the dictator Francisco Franco, a kind of hope is felt among many of the families of his victims. The well known Spanish judge Baltasar Garzón who sits on Spain’s National Court, sent official requests this week for information on Franco victims to various government archives, city halls and the Catholic Church. .
