Warning to a hectic president

Author: Rosa Maria Young

In a normal summer Sunday while French people were mostly ready to concentrate in the finishing Tour de France, their president made the news. Apparently, late in the morning under a strong sun an with an already 27ºC (80ºF) Nicolas Sarkozy decided to go jogging in the park at the Chateau of Versailles. After 45 minutes he felt unwell and accompanied by his wife Carla Bruni he was finally taken by helicopter to Val-de-Grace, a military hospital in Paris. There doctors performed a a battery of tests on the 54-year-old president whose results were normal. He was nevertheless kept overnight under observation. This morning an apparently fit Sarkozy left the hospital. The presidential Elysée Palace said the episode was due to a mixture of heat and overwork. Perhaps a warning for a man who is known for his hectic life.
