Tonight we will know President Obama more

Tonight at 8pm US eastern time, President Barack Obama will deliver an address on health care to a joint session of Congress. It is expected that he will press for a government-run insurance option in an overhaul of the U.S. health care system. Health care reform has dominated the news in the country for weeks and created lots of expectation and anger. For the president is a challenge that he needs to overcome. For the country is vital. Democrats and Republicans are at odds in the issue and even among the Democrats there is not total agreement. And the country is more divided than ever. In a way there has been so many presented plans and ideas than nobody knows what is going on much less understands what the politicians are proposing. Obama left the plan in the hands of the congress and therefore complicated things even more as misinformation and untruths were told. The result has been fear, anger, and division. Tonight, if Obama is serious about this so needed reform he has first to be totally clear about his plan and second he cannot let himself be led by those who are trying to derail any plan or water it down to a point that in reality it would not be a reform but a joke, and a expensive one, affecting not just the needy but the middle class and seniors.
Tomorrow we will be able to say whether we have the president of change or we were mistaken.
