Friday May 7th, 2010 15:52 The UK wakes up to a hung Parliament

Well the United Kingdom had the predicted outcome of the voting, a hung Parliament, and for the time being Gordon Brown is still at Downing Street even though his Labour party did not do too well. The problem is that while the Conservatives, with David Cameron as their leader, ended up winning the most seats, they did not get enough of them to form a government and they are most probably to be forced into a coalition. Thursday May 6th, 2010 17:38 Labour, Liberal Democrats or Conservatives?

For several hours polling stations in the UK have been opened to voters. In an election eagerly watched in many European capitals, we are all waiting for the results which will begin to be known at 11pm local time or midnight in the continent. In one of the most exciting of the general elections in years and with an outcome almost impossible to call, there is nothing to do but wait and see if the rise of the Liberal Democrats results in a hung Parliament for the first time since 1974.
