It is a sad day for women, specially American women, when the Supreme Court blocked a sexual discrimination lawsuit against the retail giant Wal-Mart. With their ruling yesterday, the highest court overturned an earlier ruling which would have allowed 1.6 million female Wal-Mart employees to sue the company for allegedly paying women less than men and for giving them fewer promotions that their male co-workers.
