The Swedish Academy announced today, the 9th of October, the winner of the 2008 Nobel Prize in literature, the French novelist Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clezio. The news were received with pride in France where President Sarkozy congratulated him in name of all the French with a “great pride” and named him “a world citizen, son of all continents and all cultures”.
